Default Long beach, CA locals please help

I just put my Scarab in long beach and I'm looking for recommendations for restaurants or hang outs with boat parking out front.
I heard Yard House has public boat parking but I haven't actually been there yet.
Thanks in advance.
Bryan

There are a couple of restaurants near the Yardhouse, but I'm not sure about public parking. Parker's Lighthouse is a little more upscale if that's what your looking for. There was a mexican restaurant next door to Yardhouse, assuming its stil there.

Also, you can go in to Los Alamitos and go to a few restaurants in there...Tantalum's is really good and lots of boat parking...
or run down to Huntington Harbour or down to Newport....

Tom,
I'm actually in Los alomitos. And I'm in marina Pacifica next to tantalum. I was looking for places a little drive away. I'm from Newport so I will definitely try that. How is Huntington harbor?

You really need to pm some of the SCOPE members on OSO. They will tell you the in/outs of Long Beach. They have the Poker Run there every Aug or Sept and they use the Rainbow Village Marina, where the yard house etc.. are for docking. I've only been as a spectator, but its paid parking for vehicles all over, typical beach community, and its frustrating...

There is guest dock space in Rainbow Harbor near the Yardhouse. There are a number or other places to eat too. Also coffee and pastries, gift shops and such. Guest dock is first come, first serve and some kind of time limit.

Woodys and others in Newport have guest docks, and Dana Point has a bunch of restaurants and guest docks.

Pretty much every Harbor on the West Coast has guset docks for overnight and most larger restaurants on the water will have guest dock space.

Have fun, Los Al is a cool marina

We like The Canary in Newport. They have a dock right in front. Bluewater also.

We've been hitting Jolly Roger in Oceanside too. They have a ton of dock space which always seems to be empty. It's a nice run from Dana.
