does anyone have any suggestion on how to unplug my main wire harness motor was rebuilt 4 yrs ago so it has been apart its a 7.4
i am trying to unplug the harness but no luck pulling have peeled back the rubber it will not move at all

it probably had loose connections and got hot and melted the rubber on the inside together..take a pair of channel locks and twist the plug in clock position and pull at the same time..if that dont work then you may have to warm it up with a heatgun..

If you twist it, won't that break off the brass male terminals??

yes they will brake but if your easy with it they wont..

Dont twist it remove the harness from the engine then tilt it up and spray it with wd40 or silcone spray it is dry.

it is dry i peeled back the rubber i can actually see the brass prongs the plug looks close to new i even put a screw driver between the 2 pieces and twisted no luck not sure what could be holding it is there a risk of fire if i add wd 40 plus heat?

Make sure there is no power on I have seen the same thing it's just dry metal to metal it needs lube friction is what you more the likey dealing with.

thanks everybody the answer was wd40 plus heat after i got it apart it looks like someone used some kind of stiff glue seems like the wd40 heat combo started breaking it down

Probably for whatever reason, it has oxidation in it. Get some penetrating oil with the spray straw thingy and hose it down the best you can on the inside.
