I drove one last November in Key West, excellent rough water boat, wish I had the $$$$ to pick one up, still saving up.
I think that they are probably not quite as fast on smooth water as a 28 Skater but in the rough they are incredible. Very forgiving and seem to be put together very well.
Just my $.02

There are 3 AMT's being raced on the SBI circuit now. 2 canopied boats and one pleasure/race version. They are great rough water boats. Very predictable. I think the non-canopied one on the circuit is for sale. The builder of the boats also builds Yellowfin fishing boats which are very well built fishing boats.

From knowing the people who got the whole 30' AMT Cat started and performing where it is now, this is one hell of a cat. Attend an SBI race to see the AMT's show there stuff. By far they are always the boats out front in S-class. If I was in the market for this type of boat hands down I would buy an AMT. Good luck to the owners of the company and the racers running there designs in the future.
If you need an answer on whether or not to buy one. No doudt in my mind the answer should be YES!!!!!!!

They are one of the few builders who does a great job on a seemless boat. Keep up the great work guys, and the interior is great.

Lightbulb AMT.......

The AMT's bottom was designed and tooled on a CNC machine as was the race deck. This was done by Doug Wright. The pleasure deck was tooled the old fashoned way( wood/putty). The boats are being built by the same crew that laid up the Talons. There are 3 AMT racing on the SBI circuit. Aqua Toy Store, Supreme Marine, and S-77. They have finished top two at all three races in SBI this year. I have done the all of the graphics on the Supreme Marine, The Pleasure boat that is in PB this month, and last years Micc. Indian Gamming boat. I am currently rigging a new pleasure boat for debut at the Sarasota race/poker run. If you have any questions about AMT feel free to email me at [email protected].
