Very neat! Always was a fan of "Route 66". Filmed at the McCulloch marine facility. The link says the facility was built in 1964 but the video is definitely from 1962. May have been finished in 1964. Nice piece of history!

Loved that show when I was a kid- don't remember this episode.
Don't really remember much from that far back.

Early sixties was korny as hell!
Part of what the revolution later in the decade was about.

Great show, I always watched Route 66. Corny in today's standards but cutting edge back then. Thanks for posting.

Yes, the show, as many others of the time, were "tame" compared to todays "standards" such as they are. I have to say, though, that Route 66 dealt with personal situations that were interesting, in themselves, as opposed to todays shows, many of which rely on sometimes brutal and always gratuitous violence to make a story. Refreshing to see this clip and it reinforces why I always liked "Route 66" and still do.
