Would like to know which engine oil is best suited to use in the Mercury HP 500 carb engine? Thanks

Thanks very much, I have written these down and will try and go with the Mobil-1 20 w 50 V-twin, if not either Royal Purple or Amsoil.

If you're not allergic to nuts, of course. Peanut oil will work best in the very high temperature that most people use for stir fry. It doesn't break down and it won't smoke at a very high heat. I will say that I use canola oil, but that's because I don't stir fry on a super high heat.

As for which kind of wok, I prefer my non-stick because I am lazy about clean-up. This doesn't mean a steel wok won't clean easily, just that I know the non-stick will.

Amsoil is bar none the best. it improves your fuel economy and saves you time and money with extended drain intervals. you can keep it in your car for 25,000 miles or one year whichever comes first. I just changed a 94 chevy 1/2 pickup over to Amsoil and I used there fuel treatment. the truck went from 10mpg to 17mpg from just an oil change and fuel treatment. I did this 4 tanks of gas ago and I'm holding those numbers. it wasn't just for the first tank of gas that the treatment was in.

Castrol is second best in viscosity break down but third in ball bearing wear.
Pennzoil took second in the ball bearing wear test but came in dead last in the break down test
Amsoil was the best in all categories.

for marine engines,amsoil dominator 15w50 is hard to beat...
