3000w = 3F capacitors.

But. If your speakers only demand 1800 w. then you can get away with 1,8F-2F. I'd personally go with a minimum of 1,5F and set it up with 3 x 0,5F capacitors. The dynamics will be better with 3 x 0,5F capacitors than with fewer higher capacity condensators. They are simply able to deliver and re-charge faster.

A capacitor is not going to solve your low battery problem. Like stated earlier they only help to deliver power to the amp quickly. This is so the amp won't clip when the batteries get low.

You need better batteries to solve your problem.

Get yourself a Kenetic Battery. No more problems.

A cap will not keep your batteries from going dead, but it will reduce the damage to the amp that can be caused by running at a low voltage.

They do have a marine version. I run about 5000 watts on my boat and no problems. I dont run the system at rock concert levels all day, I run it at a decent level and have never had any issues. I also have 3 other batteries that I can pull in if needed too.

Any good car/marine stereo shop can help you. They are fairly cheap, anything from 15-30$. The 0,5F caps are not the most common, but if you can get them do so.

There is some talk about batteries in this thread as well. And yes, all parts of the system needs to be working together, one part of this is caps.

A few questions.

What size cables are you running and what length are they? Number of amps? Amp placement? With 3000 watts you will need some thick snakes to feed that kind of power. Just for 5 feet, 3000watts require 1/0 gauge power cables and the longer the cable, the thicker cables you need. A "skinny" 4 gauge will never feed 3000 watts of amps for more than 1-2 feet.
