One of the "Masters" on this Forum stated that a Gen VI Valve cover will NOT seal on the Dart Pro 1s using the Gen VI Valve cover o-ring.

I do not want to assemble the engine and end up with a leaking valve cover.

It looks to me like the o-ring makes contact all the way around the top of the head although in a couple of areas it is near the edge.

Has anyone tried the Pro 1s with the o-ring valve covers?

If you are using roller rockers its a mute point, and I am betting you are if you are using dart heads

I sold 2 sets of brand new Gen 6 covers because of that. Nice valve covers for a stock engine.

I got out the die-grinder
Early model gaskets for me.

HP500 cam, Energizer rockers, cast OE Gen VI covers. I had to grind off the rocker nuts but the rockers seem to clear.

I'll post if there are any issues.

Related topic- I have Dart Pro-1 heads and Eickert two-piece valve covers. The original setup would not clear the roller rockers, so they made a taller base section. That causes interference with E-top headers, so they had to get 1/4" exhaust flange spacers.
