I would appreciate your input on any cons regarding the 700sci engine with NXT Drive vs a 600 with Bravo XR.
I am aware of the weight increase but is the upgrade really worth the additional money?
Thank you for your input.

Basically he is saying that with the 700/NXT package, you wont break it. With the 600/XR package, your chances of breaking it within three years goes up A LOT. So you spend more now for a bulletproof package, or you spend less now and save money for repairs to the drive that you will need at some point.

The NXT is rated for much more than 700hp and wont be an issue in that package (as Philm stated). Many an XR has met it's death behind 500's/525's and the XR just isn't rated to handle the 600........so you can expect to break a couple of them and possibly be towed in as well.
I had XR's behind 630hp motors and they lived awhile but I kept a spare in the garage.....we tore them completely apart every winter and still had several spares on the boat over a 3-4 year period. Spend more now, spend more later, you pick.

Buy the 700nxt package no comparison in reliability to the 600 bravo package, its a no brainer the 600 bravo will cost you way more in the long run unless you never use the boat, the 700nxt package is one of the best out there for performance and reliability
