That's a cool setup. Moves the drives closer together and gives better weight distribution.

Also easier to change transmissions on the front motor if need be. If one wanted, they could put a direct drive or a crash box on the center motor and forget about it.

There are currently 10 built. The first 8 were built with this set up (two motors in the front, third in the rear). The ninth boat was a tripple 700 boat and it was built the traditional two in the rear, one in the front (this kinda reads like a porn script eh???)...Anyway, the 10th is the latest "50SS" and it has staggared 1350's. 11 and 12 are rumored to be on the way.

I know Luca has been trying to sell that boat for a while and might have. The boat in Newport this summer was John R's 50 with 1350's.
