Default Naturally aspirated Skaters video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4AcTX6PbEQ&sns=em

Rod Karnofel's ex APBA Super Cat 36' Skater (former Fountain/Mercury raceboat) w/ 763ci naturally aspirated/single carb/pump gas motors and #6 Mercs against my 588ci naturally aspirated/single carb/pump gas motors (Sterlings) and ASD #7s. Obviously the outcome would be much different if we were in rough water! And by today's standards with huge hp blower/turbo motors, these boats are slow.........but they're still fun.

Yes, actually it was Jim. I was pacing Rod at his top speed of just over 140 as we came into view, then accelerated as we passed the crowd of people. The last I looked down, my GPS was just a click over 150 @ 6,000 rpm. My boat will spin these props to a best of 6,300 rpm, so you do the math as to how fast my boat is. BTW, you've never said how fast your 30' is with those LS7s in it???

How much power to run 150 plus that must be 800 plus. 150 is pretty fast for only 588's. I had a 598 with 750hp so I guess they could be 800 plus.
