Default How do you touch up vinyl?

Have some worn spots on the seats and wondering if you can touch them up with anything in the grey area?

maybe shoe polish or will that rub off? Crazy ideas?

Just enought to hold it over until I replace that area I guess.

I have heard of the SEM products before. does it work into the vinyl and dye it like you mentioned, or is it more of a coating paint that lays on top? Seems like it would flake right off when the vinyl flexed. Guess that is what it is designed to do, right?

SEM will work, used it to do the vinyl interior in a 1966 Gto, had no problems had the car for 3 years after i dye it, didn't rub off or flake, if you do use it just clean your interior good then wipe it down with denatured alcohol or sems pre solvent before you spray it.....

Good to hear. The rear bench seat cleaned up fine. Sunpad was shot, so I am replacing that with new wood and vinyl.

but the chairs seem very salvagable. Blind nut rusted away, but wood is still solid and vinyl cleaned up well except for the light grey parts in a few areas. So I am hoping some touch up color will give them some new life for a bit until I atleast get the chance to use the boat!

Thank you, Brian

If you want to spend a little more, find a interior guy that the car dealerships use to do their used cars, mobile truck/van they can mix and tint all colors and comes out looking like new...used that a few times...Rob
