I'm gonna try por 15 marine. Heard a lot of good things about it. I use their paint on all my car parts and it holds up very well

The Merc Phantom Black rattle can is one of the best paints you can get. Let it dry really good and you will be impressed.

I've had good luck with Dupont Nason, and PPG Concept over an epoxy primer. My gimbles and K planes have been done with either and have lasted several years.

I did mine last winter/spring Etching primer and PPG single stage. Fully pitted TRS saltwater drives. Filled, primed and painted. A ton of work filling them and sanding. So far so good.

I edited my first post. I used Transtar Self Etching primer. I only have 1 summer on them, trailer the boat and have only left it in the water 3 days at the most so far.

LOL, yes I do, if you are referring to keeping them clean. Good wax at the start of the summer. And when I pull it out of the water I wipe the boat down using Meguiars spray wax. When it gets bad I just use a Magic eraser. It more difficult cleaning the transom soot and the hard water stains off of mufflers.
