questions - Mercury 2.5 L Offshore 280 horsepower outboard
Hi guys,
I've got a few questions about the last of the great 2.5 L Merc racing outboards, the 280 horsepower engine.
1) What was the production year range?
2) What were the major improvements made during production? (Someone told me about a pin at the top of the engine and better pistons)
3) Does anyone know where a pair of these might be found? I'm looking for a set in reasonably good condition.
