Hi all i am stripping everything off the transom for repainting drives / trim tabs , and i noticed that i could lift the starboard tab up ( by hand ) about half inch , after it has been lowered ,you can't lift it straight away but after 5 or 10 minutes it canbe moved up but NOT down . There are no leaks and i ran the pump up down a good few times to make sure there was no air any ideas pump or ram?? ,these are 28inch long K planes. Things were going so well ,after reading some posts on here about removing trim tabs i thought i was going to have my work cut out ,but my bolts just slid out exsept the top ram bolt thats well and truly in there and i dont want to break anything getting it out ?? any help would be great .
