I am having my boat repainted shortly and am starting to order the paints, cutters, etc. On the paint coverage section it states " Theoretical Coverage:
Spray Application: 573 Sq. Feet at 1 mil (25 microns) dry film thickness; 230 SQ. Feet at recommended dry film thickness.
Recommended Wet Film Thickness: 6-9 mils (150-225 Microns), Total of 2-3 Coats.
Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 2-3 mils (50-75 Microns), Total of 2-3 Coats."
Is that saying that 1 gallon will cover 230Sq ft at the recommended thickness? I am trying to find out if I should buy 1 or 2 gallons. My boat is only 21' the height is only about 2 1/2' so I rounded it up and came up with 126sq ft for both sides. Is this correct? Just want to make sure my math and assumptions are correct before I only buy a gallon of paint.
Thanks guys!
