Default OT ? for left coasters RE: Board Shorts

I will admit my midwest roots showing through here (God please dont let jeffreys girlfriend catch wind of this I will never hear the end) When you purchase some brands of Board Shorts they have a little plastic piece about 2 inches lond that has an edge with a saw tooth texture to it attached by a rubber band type cord. What is the purpose of this thing? i thought it was just one brand but I purchased a couple pair over the weekend and they were different brand and they had them as well.

Cool

Don't feel bad. I bought some and asked the very same question. The saleman could not answer the question! He had no idea! It turns out that it was supposed to be a comb. Go figure.

Actually it is a board comb for taking up the wax on your board. Some times when it builds up a lot or you forget your Sex Wax you have to comb it to make it so you will not fall off.

Shane-

Is this some kinda trick question or something? You guys make fun of me.......but Travis and Jon got it right. It's not so much for application of the wax, but when you're chillin on the beach and your board is either laying down or leaning on the rocks, the wax will melt and smooth out. The comb is mostly to put a non-slip surface to the wax which will harden back up as soon as you hit the salt again.

Please sumit all embarasing questions via PM in the future for your own sake Shane.
