Default Couple questions on a 2006 Baja 33 Outlaw

What can you do to make a 2006 33 Outlaw louder and any recommendations on sub woofers/sound system for the boat?

Well, what do you mean by loud? Exhaust? Easy. Install a fully water jacketed dry exhaust system like this. http://www.hardin-marine.com/c-1353-...chevy-dry.aspx
That will get the attention of everybody around you, and pizz off a lot of people.

Loud stereo. 6 10" or 4 12"/13" subs + mid/highs to go with it. Personally I like the Focal K2 Power stuff like the K2 33KX sub, but JL will also work fine. Just remember that you are pumping sound out into an open enviroment, so you will need to move a lot of air, for it to be really loud and physical. Don't forget that you will need amps that are powerfull enough to feed the speakers countinously and the electrical system of course needs the abillity to feed the amps. See where this is going. Can it be done, oh yes. Is it easy or cheap, not really.

My OL has the option to quiet the exhaust when needed but when I want it loud I would like more of a rumble. I heard some putting some sort of tips on them to make them louder?

As for sound system where do you all mount the subs?

For a sound system, take it to a reputable shop, tell them what you want, write check.
For exhaust I gotta know what is on there now. Pictures help.

I'm guessing he's got Corsa Q&Q on 496HO's with mufflers still installed. Just replacing mufflers with tips will make it more of a rumble, but stereo is a matter of preference. Most shops you'll pay close to $5,000.00 to get a kick ass system. The factory Clarion stuff is junk so anything will be a improvement. I put Alpine Marine in my jetboat this fall and for a 500watt amp it rocks. It's powering 2 6.5 and 4 7's with 2 10" free airs.

I have the stock twin 496's. (with switch for quiet/loud)

What tips do you recommend to give it more of a rumble?

It's a matter of preference, but I like Hardin Marine because of the design of internal flapper. Do you have the coffee can looking mufflers on it now?
