I just installed some 525's (2004) engines in my 32 Skater. I am currently only seeing 12 psi water pressure at wot. I have read quite a few threads and cannot decide if I should delete the lower bypass hose or leave it. I currently have restrictor's in the lower hose and not the tops. I am using the stock tips with rubber hose.

Mercruiser recommends deleting the bypass assuming you are using the stock CMI setup. There are restrictors in both locations, should be .406" on the top one.

So delete bottom by pass and use restricor on top?

Yes. Mercury recommends to eliminate the bypass hose and install the .406 restrictors in the top of each tail pipe
