FYI- I have been told the Gaffrig in tank fuel level senders have been modified so they only work with the Gaffrig guage. I received this info from a supplier that has built some senders for them and they indicated Gaffrig modifies them. I needed to replace the senders in my 45 and was told this. True or not, dont know, this is what I was told by the fuel level sender manufacturer.

You can get them straight from gaffrig, they aren't to expensive. I do know the senders for the 2 1/16 gauges are different than the 2 5/8 gauge senders.

I replaced my gauges in my formula 272 and the fuel gauge would not work. When I called gaffrig they told me to pull it and ohm it out in full and empty positions and they told me the proper ranges.

They said that it either would or would not work depending on which range it was. They said their gauges used industry standard and any level sender would work as long as it was for the right ohm range. Mine would not as it was for old VDO gauges and the sender was made in europe and used a different ohm range.

I bought a new sender at west marine and it worked perfect with the gaffrig fuel gauge.
