Default cable and control box

Need to replace top mount control box, not a issue there. should i use merc cables or just get 33c type and put the right connectors on it. I want the nicest and smoothest cables available without breaking the bank. thanks

I did a side mount Dana marine upgrade last year and had to change to the 33c cables in the process. I can personally say that the 33c cables are the way to go! They are much smoother then the merc cables. Also, you can take a 15ft 33c cable and "loop" it a couple times, grab one end and pull it in and out with ease!

Default cables

Also, I bought my cables through Monster Marine. If I recall correctly, they were around $45.00 each and the adaptors were around $20.00 per set. I didn't end up needing two sets of adaptors to complete my install though because my shifter came with a set for the control box. One for gas and one for shift cables. Hope this helps!
