another one for glass dave, or anyone !
some info i dug up on here on oso, says a scarab 30 weighs 6,400, a 38 kv weighs in at 10,000, and similar for a flat deck deck gun.
so how do we get 3600 pounds for 8 feet of boat.

Well first . . . .there's the extra eight feet of boat . . . That might explain some of the weight difference 
also the thirty-eight footer has a beefier overall layup schedule. My 34 Scarab weighs 7900 making the three ratios pretty linear with each other.
