Default 710 vs 725

What is the biggest difference that is seen between the 710 vs the 725? besides the obvious 15hp. I know the 725 is newer technology.....just curious.

The 7-10 is a Generation 3 engine, the 725 is Generation 4. Pretty much completely different engines.

And just to nit pick isn't the difference 25 hp. I always figured the name was because it is a 700 hp V-10.

Is there any reliability issues with the 710?

No significant issues have cropped up with any of the Ilmor engines as far as I know. They have just recently started getting engines back for rebuilding and upgrades, most with about 600 hours on them. Ilmor is very honest and open about their products. Give them a call and ask for Jessica Gamarra or Ian Hawkins.

Light weight, good service, reliablity, cool sound, no Merc service issues, nice people. A winner.
