Default Oil Pumps--which brand to use?

I am going to be replacing the oil pan gskt and rear main seal in my Chevy truck( (small blk) and I thought since I had the pan off and the motor still runs great at 66K, why not put in a new oil pump just to be safe. I still have good oil pressure, but why not if I'm right there?

What brand do you guys suggest.
1) Stock G.M. pump.
2) Melling stock pressure/high volume.
3) Sealed Power high volume.
4) Moroso blueprinted pump.
5) ??????

Thanks for any input guys,
Dave

Use stock Chevy pump.

That way you know everything is right.
some aftermarket pumps you'll have to modify to clear the cap. At least in the BBC. maybe not in the SBC.

Anyway, the point is Chevy makes a great pump, there's no guess work, why not just go with it? Ya know?

Listen to Dave. I've seen high volume pumps empty stock oil pans.
This ain't no good. If your changing to a high volume pump it's a good idea to change to a bigger pan. And then one thing leads to another and next you're putting in a big block...you know how it goes
