Does any one know what kind of speeds this boat runs with 300 Optis? Thanks Steve http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYLjVM-fbf4&feature=fvsr

but unfortunately i'm a few mph shy of 100
You were being nice and toying with me on that run
Courtesy of Dave for the great shots

Herring cleavers 94 mph. I'm sure I could squeak a few more mph if I got rid of the large box anchor and other gear.
Labbed Bravo I® XS Outboard props, 90.6 mph but much quicker roll over onto plane. (my everyday prop as a slight better mid-range cruise)
I've never totally stripped the boat of gear to achieve a higher number as that's not how I run normally.
I do know on the JOTJ with the herrings and fully loaded with 5 adults, luggage for 5 include 3 girls
, 3 large coolers in ice plus supplies for the weekend we were doing about 88 at the start and about 91-92 Leaving Smithfield.I'v got the extended warranty but once they 'v expired im sure i'll probably investigate the seemly tried and true upgrade worked out by Bush and Simon
This would give me a increase in redline of about 900 rpms and almost a 10% increase in hp which should allow me to hit that 100mph+ if it go that route.
I've got to say we LOVE the boat. I can load it down with 10+ people for a easy cruise down the lake like a pontoon, Load up the dogs and gear and still let the girls lay on the front couches leisurely soaking up the sun, and also get my need for speed when we want to zip around. The OB are quiet so nobody on the lake is bothered by my early or late runs and it's pretty damn nice to run 3 full weekends on 1 tank of gas!
