A few months ago I purchased an '08 closed-bow Scepter with a 525HP. The prop is a 4-blade Bravo 1 with a 24" pitch and only pushes the boat to 70 mph. I don't do any watersports, just cruising. I would appreciate any info from others with a Scepter or 28 Deck and a 525HP and what speeds and performance you're seeing and your recommendations.

What is your RPM's at that speed.....something doesn't sound right.

I would imagine you would be seeing a few more mph also with a closed bow 525. Im also curious to hear what rpm u are turning.

I believe I was doing a bit over 5,000 RPM... can't remember exactly, but think that was where I was at.
