Thumbs up Offshorebid.com

Looks like it is starting to slowly take off. They are at www.offshorebid.com and I think it is still free to start a auction. Hope it starts to work. Since Ebay is so sucessfull then I would think this would be as well. Check it out guys and if you have something to sell give it a try you have nothing to loose

This site got off to a really good start a couple of months ago. Then it just fell on it's face. I don't know why, because it's a really great idea. I'd actually like to see OSO partner up with them, now that would be cool. Just gotta work on those 90 auctions though.

Cord I think that they 90 day auctions are set that way as the default. I think they can shorten them up if they want to. Anyhow I would guess that they reason for that is to try and keep the stuff up there while the place is slow in the beginning. If it takes off I am sure that they will start to shorten up the length of the auctions. It is a great idea however and I hope that there is some way for us all to generate enough interest in it to get things rolling and make it fly for the owner. Eventually it will cost to auction but for now I think it is still free so take advantage of it!!!! Look how Ebay is Same thing but this is what we love D

I did my part..bought a handheld GPS off the site from Nort when the site was pretty new.
I think it's a great site, and I'm glad to see stuff listed again.

ya a couple months there was NOTHING listed after what looked like a good start. Now it seems to have jumped back to life again. I wonder if there was some advertising done. I know they were sapposed to advertise in some power boat mags. Also stacks of cards were left all over the LA boat show.

Now if we put "Auctions" on the top banner next to "Classifieds" that would be kick ass! The auctions section could still be a independent partnership, but maybe OSO could get a small fee for each hit. Imagine the traffic that Offshorebid would get! It would be phenominal! Keep the classifeds free and charge for the auctions! That would be way, way cool!
