Question removing diffuser ring

have 34 bravos on a cat, anyone removed the diffuser ring, what were your results, more or less bow or stern lift,, speed increase, thinking of trying it, just need a little input.

Hey bob I tried it and it was harder to plane out. On bravo props wasn't worth the difference. Now on bravos that big I am not sure how big the diffuser is and some cut down might help the props spin higher rpm from decreased load. On props like the maximus it is pretty much a must. Maybe brad can chime in.

The Bravo 1 34 pitch casting is a interesting story.
Do a search back and you can learn a bunch about its history. I've written volumes on it.
