Default Looking for full cover for 292 Islander.

I've got cockpit covers but would like a full cover for my boat. It can be a heavy mooring cover or a shipping cover. I don't plan on trailering with it on.

Question

Found some covers. Can anybody make some suggestions on which will give the best protection? I'm not familiar with what materials are best for UV/water resistantance. I'll be buying silver in color.

Where is Sunny Acres? I would really consider having a custom cover made over a Westland cover. I have both and there is no comparison and in the end you do not spend a lot more money for a custom cover. I took my boat to Phil's Custom Canvas down at LOTO. $30/foot and it fits perfect, comes down 12" past the rub rail on the hull sides, built-in vents, bow and cockpit snaps for poles, cleat pockets, and a pocket to hide the mini-ratchet to draw the cover tight. Plus the material (Aqualon) is 100% water-proof and much higher quality than the Sharkskin from Westland. If you go Westland I would get the Sharkskin Supreme.

I'm near Edwardsville. Thank you for the reply/advice. I'll give Phil's a call as I'm down at LOTO often.

Yeah, I'm down there all the time too so it worked out great. Swung the boat past his place at the 1MM on my way in to the Shootout a few years ago and he took all the measurements he needed. Then he shipped the cover to me so I didn't have to make a return trip.

This place has a lot of old baja close out stuff. Not sure if they have one for your model or not. I bought one of their travel covers for a 40' Outlaw and it fits my 36' apache really well as a dust cover when it is parked in my toy box.
