Was making plans to go to the boat show up in Grand Rapids, MI for the show next week. First time there 20ish years ago there were a bunch of offshore boats in the 24 to 31' range. Nice selection, wanted to see what was up with the newer boats.

Just went through the dealer list and brands. Perfect if I want a ski boat, pontoon or jetski it seems. Guess the death of the performance market has killed anything but the largest shows huh? Detroit show is at the same time, but really do not want to drive into detroit to look.

Grand rapids used to have a nice boat show with the fountains, challengers, scarabs, baja's, powerquest and sunsations.

I knew it was tough on the industry, didn't know it was so bad they stopped going to most of the shows. Guess no show for me this year.

Of course, I drove all the way to NJ to buy a boat that was built 50 miles from my home! Hmm, think I will have to look into a factory tour at Formula.
