Default 2001 Baja H2X 6.2L MX MPI Prop Ideas?

I have the Mercury Vengeance 3 blade 21P and I pull 68 on my stock motor. The holeshot isnt that great in my opinion so I was looking to upgrade to a 4 blade just curious what type of props are you guys with this setup are running?

Are those 68 mph pitot speed, on the trailer or down hill? Your boat will run 59-62 on gps with that power, depending on load ect. Anyway, let's move on. The Vengeance is a bad choice no matter how you slice it, get rid of it. The two props to try are the Mirage+ and Revolution4, depending whether you want 3 or 4 blade. 3 blade will give you speed and 4 blade will give you cruise efficiency. Brett at Bblades is really good at labbing the M+ for the Bajas if you're looking for top end. No matter what, retire the Vengeance to paper weight.

I have to get the GPS out! I am sure Brett would be able to asnwer this better but what kind of gains do you typically see from a lab finished prop off a stock motor? I would spend the money if it could give me at least 3 or 4 mph. I just remember talking to a Mercury tech last year about it and he said I am looking at maybe 1 or 2 mph.

You will need to do some testing with a stock prop first. As said, Brett is really good with the M+ and Bajas. I don't know the merc tech, so won't comment on him, but often the merc lab jobs are standard lab jobs, where the Bblades prop will be fully custom. 4 mph will be stretching it, most get 1½-3. It depends on some variables. It will however, probably be the cheapest speed increas you can get. I think he charges 94 a blade, but contact him.

Mirage Plus vs. enertia. I have just read a lot of information about comparing these two props and it seems the enertia is the much better choice. All the boats tested were fishing boats though and I am curious what the take is on the enertia for my set up. Both shops I spoke to said go with the Mirage plus but the enertia wasnt even mentioned.

I already purchased the Mirage Plus just waiting to test it and then send it out to get labbed but would buying the Enertia and getting it labbed give even better gains?
