The boat we will be updating is a 1996 Fountain 35 Fever/ Twin 500HP’s sitting on a Myco Tandem Axle / Drive Guard Trailer. During our updating process the 35 will undergo many changes:
Boat:
Addition of Sea Strainers
Re Powder Coat Throttles / Shifters
Re Place ‘Fogged’ / ‘Cracked’ Gauges
New Cockpit Carpet
New Cabin Carpet
Upholstery Repair
Porta Potti
Billet Battery Boxes
Basic Tune Ups ( Plugs / Wires / Cap / Rotor / Filters / Fluid Changes )
Lower Units converted to XR Prop Shafts
Paint Touchups / Redesign
Trailer:
Convert Surge Brakes to Electric/Hydraulic
New Wheel Bearings
New Brake Pads
Repaint Gloss Black
New Tongue Jack
Thank You,
Alan Gordon

(1) - Change the tongue to a solid tongue / weld the old tongue in a 'fixed' position ( In our case the trailer brakes didn't work so the tongue was welded by the previous owner)
(2) - Determine what size brakes the trailer has ( 10" / 12" / 13"), Determine what type of brakes it has ( Drum / Disc ), Determine total axles with brakes.
(3) - That info can be taken to Brake Rite / Carlsile / ETC and they can otufit you with a unit that has the proper pressure capabilities for your specific application.
(4) - Mount the Electric/Hydraulic Actuator assembly and hookup to existing/new brake line.
(5) - Mount the "run away trailer" Teather cable.
(6) - Wire all connections / bleed system / test to confirm operation.
I Know this is all easier said than done, but with all the right info at hand the project is very simple. Hope this helps.

Alan Gordon
