Ohhh man that sucks. Here in the states, boating used to be an enjoyable hobby that many could afford. It's looking like the US is gonna turn into Europe, where only the ultra rich can afford to do it.

Those 540's aren't "fuel efficient" are they?

Well depends on what you call efficient, cruise say 1.5 gal per mile that's not each that's both, doing 3600rpm at 50mph,put the hammer down, don't want to know!!!

Well, its been hovering at 5 bucks a gallon at my marina for well over a year now so thats no surprise, but 6, or dare I say, 7 bucks...now that might sting a little.

But none of this is about frugalty anyway, so to that regard, i say phuck it! Go boating or floating, we'll still make the most of it.

The only hope we have is that the Repubs. are gonna hammer Osama on the Alaskan pipeline and this being an election year he may want to appear to be doing something.

last year thou were were told the same thing price going up and they never ended up rising.

next we will be discussing ways to mount a mast. of course if enough of us switch to sail power, they will find a way to charge us for wind!
