Just called my engine guy and he said there ready
I have to give him a few more parts (exhaust manifolds, bell housings, oil coolers and other things)
But the new heads are on, all stuff internally is all done.
Oh man im going over there in a few minutes
MAN I AM PUMPED NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey remember a couple days ago you were about ready to make you boat the worlds larges roman candle!!! See this is what it is all about. A smack in the face but then later the total feeling of some sort of accomplishment. I bet you have already forgotten about that nasty bolt

That's great Jay. I just finished and fired my engine up this week. Hope to be in Sunday. I found it easier to put it back together than take the Rusty POS apart. At least you don't get as greasy.
FYI,
Talked to the mechanic at the marina and he was putting back together some stainless Merc risers on a Wellcraft Nova. He said that Merc has a new gasket last year and they no longer recomend the Red Loctite stuff (that was like $24 a tube)anymore. Just put the riser gasket on dry.

Scott you are correct. The new gasket is silver and a LOT thicker then the old ones. You have to torque them a bunch of times to get them to stop crushing down. From what I hear they are a much better gasket.
