First shown to me by "Pismo" on Donzi.net.

With link to article by Matt Trulio. I'm surprised that Matt didn't post this up here.

The complete package comes with exhaust starting in the $12k area. If you needed new headers for your 525's, why not spend a little more and upgrade?

Here are a few more. I think they may be on to something. They are going to recast the housing and integrate the bypass valve from what I understand.

I think it's a cool idea, and I'm sure they'll get it figured out but I think it was a bit premature to release a concept. It's not even a functioning prototype, just some shiny pieces. The exhaust entry into the turbo definitely needs some work IMO. Look at the path the exhaust from the rear cylinders has to take. I do think it's a great idea I just think it was a little premature to be giving HP and cost numbers on something that is untested. As it progresses I would love to see some actual data like IE ratio, boost, egt's, etc. It has a lot of potential and if they can deliver for the estimated price it'll be awesome for someone starting a new build that needs exhaust anyway. I'd like to see one with manifolds too.

I was estimating that it would be at least $22k.........

The last pic in post #3 is not a 525. It has a distributor

Does the extra 75 hp in stage two come from more boost or a larger intercooler?
What are the boost levels anyways?

All the pics are of the same engine... I'm confused on the distributor comment?

Eddie,

What is the rough cost of rebuilding a 525 these days and bumping up the horsepower?
