One buddy had a H3 another buddy had a Murano. I work in the auto industry and see them all. I would take the Nissan any day over the Hummer.

Given the fate of the Hummer brand, I'd be worried about parts, service, and resale value.

I'm totally impressed with how GM is doing now and the products they are releasing. Too bad some cool brands had to go.

I would take the H3 for sure. The Murano was a quirky SUV that the styling put a lot of people off. H3 is instantly recognizable and will actually have a loyal following. The drivetrain was based of the trailblazer so parts are not that bad to find.

If you get an H3 make sure it's the Alpha V8 model, otherwise that weakass 5 cylinder is pathetic, forget towing with it, and mileage isn't even decent with it b/c the motor is strained with the weight and 4 speed. Buddy few years ago had one, put a few people in and the truck feels slower then a Pinto, forget about passing ability lol.

If you want a nice, smaller suv, the 2011+ Ford Edge is tops. Interior is best in class hands down, eco-boost is powerful in that truck b/c it's much lighter then the Explorer (and great mileage) or you can still get the nice V6 (the Sport AWD has the more powerful 3.7 but it's heavier and awd and 22's... so no faster then the other engines).

Murano is just plain ugly to me, but I also can't stand the feel of CVT trans, just too weird.
