Default 247 Islander 2008 Engine Removal

Can you all tell me if the stock 496 Mag engine can be removed from an 247 Islander 2008. This set up only has about 3 inches from the permanent rear bulk head at the rear seat. How far forward does the engine have to come foward before it starts to clear the gimbel housing and the flywheel on the engine? This set up is completely stock with Corsa Quick and Quite exhaust.

Anyone having pulled this engine in a stock boat can certainly e-mail me at [email protected]

Thanks in advance
Gary

If you remove the belt and alternator you can spin the motor. Then lift it up and out.

Thanks for the info. I could not even imagine that you would have to cut the boat on a stock application.
