Default insurance woes

BM, the insurance problem sucks. My eliminator cat is 1870.00 per year with 5% deductable and it does not even cover hitting underwater obstructions ( stumps etc...) Most wanted 4000.00 per year, but I'm with Farmers and have Two commercial buildings, Two houses, Three autos, and one other small boat, with a good low claim record and they still won't budge on the price, or the coverage. Before I purchased the boat my agent told my "no Problem" on getting coverage. My fountain was only 7-800 year but the cat scares em I guess.

Fountian 38
Have eliminator also and have insurance thru Kaigle out of Tenn and mine is 2300 this coming year,was 1900 this year and I have never had a claim in over thirty years. Wait until you get your new homeowners rates, they have almost tripled.
If this keeps up, My need for speed may have to slow down!!

Fountain;

You might try telling your insurance company its all or none, at reasonable prices. My dad did that in the past when they said they were going to significantly raise his premiums for his airplane. Guess they didn't want to loose all of his other business because they came back down to what they were always charging him. No claims or anything...they just wanted to see if he would pay it I guess. Just a thought. Good luck. I don't know which eliminator you have, but my 26 Carrera Cat is about 850.00 a year through Progressive.

Robert- You may want to call Sy Goldberg, I just insured with him & saved close to 30% over what Farmers wanted to sub-insure me for....and for less coverage. ([email protected])

I also found out that most Boat insurance is for Watercraft Liability coverage only (Bodily injury & Property damage).
Sy's policy is for :
Protection & Indemnity
& covers a lot more "stuff".
