I have a 95 32' Caliber with twin 454 Mags that was winterized by a Marina. My question is how do I De-Winterize the engines and what other service should I do before the season begins?

Honestly there's not much you should need to do. I change my oil and filters in the spring. Some do in the fall, some do both. I run it on a hose in the driveway first with a baby pool under the boat to make an attempt to collect as much antifreeze as possible.

I have my trailer serviced, brakes adjusted, lube, etc.

It depends on how it was done. If oil and fuel is from the spring or stabilized in the fall, fliters changed, impeller changed, drive greased and lubed ect. do all the usual first start pre-flight checks, dump it in the water or put it on the hose and annoy everybody else with some lovely smoke. If it was winterized properly, there is no such thing as de-winterizing, only boats not properly prepared and checked before start.

If some of these steps were not done in the fall, well, things can get interesting fast.

Don't forget the drain plug.

If its closed loop, check the coolant and coolant level. Make sure the hoses are all hooked up and gear clamps are all tight. Check or replace the impeller, I change mine every year (they are cheap)

If its been sitting for awhile you can spin the plugs out, spray some lube in the cylinders, disconnect the coil and spin the motor over. If it was winterized recently you shouldn't need to bother, but, if it's been a couple of years.....?

Check battery cables, check belts and make sure they are tight and not frayed. When you have it running on the hose check the kill switch and make sure it works. While the motor is warm change the oil/filter. Some people dump a few ounces of 2 stroke oil in the water/fuel seperator, so change that too. I usually keep the "old" seperator and use it in the fall to winterize in the Fall. Fill it up with fresh gas and your set for the year!

Check trailer tires/pressure, make sure lights and brakes work, grease hubs and coupler, check safety chains. And as mentioned earlier, DON'T forget the drain plug.

Taking the few extra minutes before you splash the boat can save a BIG headache on the water

A lot of marinas will leave water pump hoses disconnected and drain plugs out. This is why they say the boat needs to be "de-winterized".

Good call on drain plugs, I forgot about those. Not a bad idea to change the drive oil, make sure props/nuts/retaining rings are good, make sure out drives are greased and aligned, or have been recently.

Thanks everyone, it was "winterized" by a local Marina at LOTO. Anti-Freeze, Fogger, and Fuel Stabilizer. It appears a few hoses are disconnected. Didnt want to dump the pink stuff in such a great lake.
