Default Full Hydraulic Steering or Not

Hello, I have a 23ft Baja with a 502 and bravo 1. I have an opportunity to buy a full Latham hydraulic steering kit. As we all know these arent cheap, is this a good investment for my boat. I have a slight chine walk on the top end and hoping this will eliminate that problem. Is there any problems i could run into over the simple mechanical steering? Thank you

With your size of boat and power, you will probably find folks to be pretty devided. Imo, yes, but I love the feel of hydraulic steering. Will you get your money back when selling? Most likely not. Should you do it, I think so.

If all is there, you should not have any problems installing it.

Easy there buddy. 72-74. But yep, definetly a good thing for safety. You don't wanna swap ends at those speeds.

If You can Buy it Right Get it! I don't think it's going to do alot for your chine walking issue though. IMO Rich

Full hydraulic steering was the best upgrade/investment I have ever made to my boat. The only regret is I should have done it sooner. Instead of the new power, paint job and interior I should have done the steering.

Well I guess it's a go ahead. My boat Is flirting with 71mph on gps right now. My goal is a STABLE 72mph. I think this is a good start. Thanks for your input everyone.

Chine walk can only be rectified with one thing (beside major bottom or setup changes). And that's steering input! Full hydraulic will make this easier however at the end of the day if the wheel doesn't move the boat will.
