I built a box out of Birch Plywood to house some batteries in our boat. Box has 2 coats of Epoxy Resin and will be elevated off the sole of the boat using King Starboard Pucks.

I am going to wrap the exterior in marine carpet but wanted to paint the inside black for appearance sake. What is cheap black paint that will adhere to the epoxy resin? Do I need to lay down some primer.

This is such a small job that I can either roll it or spray it with my little gun.

Scuff and use black epoxy. PPG DP works good.

Thanks for the suggestion but that looks to be at least 50 bucks for a quart.

I need something cheaper.
