Try www.crutchfield.com Probably the biggest selection and best prices on line.

sonic is a bunch of arseholes! A few years ago they sent a customer of mine a JL Audio amp that was dead on arrival. Sonic said that he'd have to send it back to them to be re-serialized, then sent for repair, back to Sonic, then back to the customer. At least a 4-6 week wait, when the customer thought he was buying a new amp.

I sell this stuff for a living own a stereo shop in corona ca. I buy from the same places sonic does shoot me a pm of what you want. Also sometimes equipment is bad out of the box and jl is tracked via its serial number and is not to be sold online. So when jl is sold online the serial number is removed from the case and from inside the amps as well for warranty you have to re apply the serial number. Don't buy jl online it's never a a good idea I am jl authorized and if my product ended up online they would drop me. Always better to buy from an authorized retailer and have warranty where the unit is replaced not repaired. Personally for me it's focal all the way

I get the whole do not buy from unauthorized JL dealers, but there are tons of online places selling brand new JL stuff for a lot less. Granted no warranty, and pretty sure most are willing to take that gamble. After all, if it was such a concern of buying defective new JL equipment, who'd buy it even from a dealer?

And just how do all these online places get brand new JL products? JL have a big problem of truck loads of products slipping put the door after hrs, or are they selling them to 'unauthorized' dealers? Never have understood this. I don't buy the fake argument either. With the volume of these being sold online, word would get out. All of my JL stuff has always had their numbers intact, purchased both locally and on line.

i went to purchase my alpine marine head unit at sonic. sat on backorder for 3 weeks. canceled order & purchased from crutchfield. had it following week. the $25 or so i was saving from sonic wasnt worth the wait.
