Default Tunnel Tab on 30 Spectre

Anybody running a tunnel tab on a 30 Spectre? Got any pictures? What effect did it have on the ride?

Will it eliminate the low speed hop?

Talk with Jay Pilini, he built them and can tell you whatever you need to know. I have 1 on my 36 and never use it if that helps any.

Seltzer, here on OSO has a 30 with 500's and Bravo's. He runs a tunnel tab. Send him a PM or he may even chime in.

It's not a 30ft Spectre, but it was splashed off a Spectre hull I was told (and it looks it).

Its a Fixed tunnel tab..Only picture I have at work.

Seltzer had the big tunnel tab on the back. It kept breaking the ram. So we just unbolted the big plate and ran the small one like northernoffshore has.

All the 30's we built when I was there used the Kiekhaefer tab with an aluminum plate bolted to it.

I have a tunnel tab on a 30 Spectre with twin 300XS's. I rarely use it, but it will flatten the hop in that 50-75 MPH range. Also helps to get the boat to lay down faster.

Honestly, 99% of the time, it's all the way up.
