Default Daytona advice

hey guys I was wanting some input on daytona icc boats. I've been looking at the 27, 28, 30 and 33 foot . I'm thinking my budget will be more around the 27 but there are some great buys on the bigger boats. my main question is how is it for a family boat? I'll be selling my 29 outlaw which has a great swim platform on the back and makes it real nice for getting in and out with kids. Aso how do you think a 27 will fill in size compared to my 29 v? Any other advice would be great.

twin engine boat will be easier to get in and out of. I went from a 25 to my 30 and the wife comment the first time getting into the boat it was easier. a 27 is going to feel small compared to the 29 v. the 28 or 30 cat would be a better fit as they are wider and make better use of the space.

I thought this thread was going to be about bars and girls in Daytona Beach, never mind.

If you get a 26 or 27 you will have swim platforms on each side of outdrive. You can get a spring steps that fold up once you let go. (watch your fingers)

On twin engine boat make sure you have a trim tab in the middle. Then you can first step on the tab to pull you up to the swim platform.

The 27 will sit much lower in the water than the 29v, and wont have near the amount of room. Also, the 27 is the best single daytona for you, if you don't like canopies, becuz the boat comes w/ two decks. The ICC model, and the Standard Deck model, which is a different top deck w/ half windshields, no canopies, thus much better vision. That isn't offered in the 25,26,28,30,33 models..

27-28 are the most popular by far...single 800 Teague will run 120 with ease...

My favorite layout...27' with open bow and walk-off front end...this one w/ICC's

27' with the low-profile windscreens...
