Hes got one hell of a project goin with this one.


"I'm building a 555 ci with an M3 Procharger for a 280 Powerquest right now. I had done a little smaller but very similar setup on another one in the past. That one ran in the low 90's. After putting tabs on the boat it wasn't that bad to drive. With the one I'm doing now we are looking for 100+ mph. Along with the engine it's getting full hyd. steering, trim tabs, etc. Should be fun."

Do you suppose it will have a fighter plane-style ejection seat?

If i was in it, It would need one cus id push it to the limit.

That would be my 280 , Im not doing it so much to run 100 but cruise at 80 < but i will still give it a try.

Its gonna be a ride!!!. I was talkin to eddie last week about my 280 that im procharging and he told me about yours. DAMN SON! Id like to ride in that!

Foreman have you had the hull blueprinted?

To make it handle as well as it can. That hull was not designed for speeds even close to 100. Chine walk could get outta hand in a hurry.

Your going to like the procharger , mine already had I'd before this I just blew it last summer and went all out . I never thought about anything with the hull.

Blueprinting will get you more speed and better handling (especially at higher speed)... There was a guy in IN on the board here that used to do it for PQ I believe, then of course there are performance shops that will do it
