Medical professional help/connection
#1
My job has offered me a position in Tulsa which is good, but my wife, the bread winner would need to find work. She is a radiation therapist (cancer cooker). Neither of us have any connections up there & would really appreciate any help you could offer her.
Thanks in advance.

I don't have any contacts but there are several hospitals in Tulsa as well as Cancer Treatment Centers has a very large facility here.

Some of the other local hospitals are:
St Johns

St. Francis

Hillcrest Health

Oklahoma Cyber Knife which is related to Hillcrest

And I am sure there are others but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

St Francis is building a 300 million dollar building for the new trauma center and additional services. There will be plenty of additional opportunity for the industry in Tulsa when that's complete.

DFW has too many people. My daughter is in Wichita, 2.5 hour drive from Tulsa. My family is in Wichita. We still have a place on Table Rock, 8 hour drive from DFW or 2.5 from T-town. There are less people, better lakes, less traffic, lower cost of living, less people, less people, less people.
We have an airplane which makes those trips much faster, however flying isn't always an option. Did I mention there are less people?

Less people = Less jobs = Less opportunity. I can't stand dallas either. Fort Worth is OK. Thats what lakehouses and boats are for......to get away. Tulsa is SOOOOO boring. My wife grew up there and still has family so we visit a couple of times a year. I bet by the time you pay your OK income taxes and take a lower wage; any lower cost of living won't materialize.
Have you still never been to Lake Texoma? There is a well respected cancer center in Denison.......not many people there. Its even more rural just across the OK border where my family's lakehouse is..........some of them people's family tree ain't got no branches.
I went to a bar there once. The bartender gal had no teeth and a crazy eye. She thought I had a real pretty mouth
