I don't know anything about 12v tv's. I was looking at doing a flat screen with dvd player. Now I put that idea on hold and was thinking about using an ipad or laptop instead. I'm not sure all the install work is worth it for me.

a whole lot of smaller LCD tv's are 12 volt. go into store wher there are a lot on display and check their power supplys. the smaller tv's have brick laptop style PS's that are 110 in and 12 to 18 DC out. get a spare brick and cut the wire and run it right to a batt switch. then you can unplug tv, take it home, and plug in reg power also.

Don't need to buy a spare power supply. Just go to RS and buy the plug that goes into the Tv and wire directly to 12v. Couple bucks and in business

Go to any Pilot, Loves, or Flying J truck stops and they will have 15" 12v TV/DVD Combos. I think they come with a cigarette lighter plug and also an adapter to run it off a power invertor. They are around $220.
