Can anyone tell me how makes this lifter? These are my friends and we cannot figure out who makes them. The engines went to the engine shop and some how the lifters got mixed up and this is what came back. It looks to me to be a comp lifter but I'm not sure if it is and what model. It's a mechanical lifter!

Are you SURE its a mechanical lifter ? It looks like a hydraulic roller to me.

Sorta looks like the one in the middle of the pic huh ?

The pic is of 3 different COMP CAM lifter styles...from the left: mechanical roller...hydraulic roller...flat tappet hydraulic.

It's definitely a solid lifter. I agree it look a lot like a high energy hydraulic but it isn't.

They look like Johnson lifters. Which I think manufactured lifters for Comp.

That looks like the lifter! Thanks! Does anyone know anything about, or used the OE lifters?
