Default Having trouble finding a lender for a high performance boat loan...

I'm looking for some direction as to where I might find the type of lender who grants these kinds of loans. It might not be possible to find, but if it is any information or direction would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking to purchase a 2001 Motion 30XP....with no motors.

I have tried eboatloans and through boat US but both will not finance this type of boat. The asking price of the boat is 29,000 and I can put 20 or 25 percent down. Is this even feasible? Or am I way off base? Any information on lender or what direction I need to go would be a huge help.

No lender is going to finance a hull less power.

I agree. In addition, you will likely need more than 20% down.

Not trying to sound like a jerk......but if you have to finance the hull without power, how are you going to afford to put it back together?

I might be wrong here, I would think it would be possible to finance through someone? How does the lender know if their is power or not unless they ask? I never had a lender ask that question.

I've already got the power to put on it, off a hull I just sold.

Really? That was the FIRST thing my lender wanted to know about. They wanted SN for each motor as well as the outdrives. Lenders today aren't quite as open with their money these days.

Give them the SN for your engines. Do not say it does not have power.
