Sorry precision and all of you who have asked, the publisher (Source Interlink) is not offering subscriptions at this time, so it is only available on "newsstands," which obviously includes major bookstores.

Trust me when I tell you that is something Vicki Newton, Sportboat's associate publisher, and I are pushing hard to make happen. Before that happens, however, you will be able to order single issues of the magazine online—but that also has not happened just yet.

In the meantime, a huge thanks to all of you who take the time and trouble—and spend your hard-earned dollars—to get it from the newsstand.

Sporboat is too good a magazine to be just quarterly. It needs to be at least bi-monthly and just watch it go!

Tablet/phone/computer subscriptions would be incredibly cheap to deliver, and the margins would be a lot higher. I fully understand the nature of the beast, and I love the hardcopy as well. But how many wouldn't pay $3 or so a month (just throwing a figure out there), fo unlimited access to content, past and current?

Pretty easy to do a hard copy/app yearly subscription when you're ready for that. I understand that getting advertisers to cover the money-losing subscriptions may not be in the cards quite yet.

Thank you for the kind words. Bi-monthly is a goal for Sportboat that Vicki and I share. But until we, and more important the powers that be at Source Interlink, are convinced the magazine is financially sustainable at a higher publication frequency it will remain quarterly. Better to survive as we are than grow too quickly.

VSteve has touched on another goal of ours—offering a digital version of Sportboat.

Source Interlink is a big (OK, huge) publisher with more than 100 magazine titles, so the wheels don't always turn as quickly as we'd like them to. But our goals do include adding subscriptions, increasing frequency and developing a digital/table version of the magazine.

Thank you all for your support.
