Managed to get a good run today with my new C.E.P. 5 blade. 98 Sonic Prowler, 525SC (600hp)...
Called Greg & chatted about setting up a 5 blade for my Prowler. He asked what I was looking to get out of a prop, & I told him improved mid range was the goal. Prowlers are not "fast", so top end would just be what it is...but I was still hoping for low 70's.
He did the math & said he felt a 25 or 26 pitch would work best. Ended up 25 1/2.
Had the prop on my door step in about 2 weeks, & all I can say is "wow, that's a nice prop" .
I had run a couple different 5 blades, & a labbed 28 Bravo. I had issues with each, but I know they could've been worked out...But Gregs prop, out of the box was spot on!
Planning was very quick, I did drop tabs at first (like I've always done). Stayed on plane at low speeds (something I've had problems with other props, wanting to plow below 15 mph) Mid range...52 at 4000 rpm, that's about 3 mph over my labbed 28. WOT was 72 at 5200 rpm, & one very nice suprise...I was able to run back thru the winding back bay, & not blow the prop in a hard turn...that was awesome! I am very pleased with this prop, & the fact that Greg nailed it first shot. His customer service is awesome, & he does what he says he can do...Hats off to you Greg, & thanks!!

I too have had great results from Cutting Edge/ Greg Hittner, I have had negative results/speed losses in the past by other prop guys so to have SEVERAL props done by Cutting Edge that ALL had better results makes me a happy customer, Smitty
